Easy-to-Understand Communication (EUC)
Easy-to-Understand Communication is a method
that helps make information easier to understand.
People who find complex information difficult
can better understand easy-to-understand content.
The goal of Easy-to-Understand Communication
is to adapt the information to the language level of the reader.
This way of communication:
is to the point,
uses simple, everyday words,
uses short sentences,
has a clear and logical structure,
avoids unnecessary jargon and complicated expressions,
often includes visual support.
Why is EUC important?
It helps everyone access information equally.
It increases the chance of understanding messages correctly.
It supports independent decision-making, for example in official matters or healthcare.
It promotes equal opportunities and social inclusion.
